Denim Glossary

In order to help you find your way in the maze of terminologies and jargons specific to denim, we present you with our crumb trail that will guide you to your must-have.

Since all our labels on this website meet the premium denim standards, we thought it essential to begin this glossary with a definition of what premium jeans are.

Premium jeans are high quality jeans that generally come from Italy and Japan (some are made in France or even the USA). They often benefit from hand-made washing and treatments, thus meeting the quality requirements you should expect from top-notch jeans: hard-wearing, very high wear-and-tear quality and, like fine wines, the ability to improve with age.

These qualities explain why these items are more expensive than mass market jeans. But after all, far from being disposable, isn’t a good pair of jeans the companion of a lifetime?

That said, enjoy !
